Dear Oak Street School Families, 
We hope that you've had a safe and fun summer and are looking forward to the new school year, which will begin on September 4th. We are so excited for another year at Oak Street School and to welcome our new families and students! In this email we're putting the "bottom line up front" (BLUF for you corporate or military folks) and asking two things from you:
  1. Please register and verify your information in Membership Toolkit. Click HERE to register and verify.
  2. Consider supporting the PTO through a suggested donation of $55 per student to gain access to the Membership Toolkit directory (make sure you actually 'check out' to complete the process!). Click HERE to join.
  3. Both of these actions can be done through the links above or on the app (Apple store here or Google Play here)

Now for the "why":
Our PTO events kick off on with a fan favorite, Family Picnic Night, in September. Throughout the school year, the volunteer-run PTO coordinates and supports over 50 activities including: Science Expo, Book Bonanza, Field Day, Monster Mash, Multi-Cultural Night, and more. Additionally, there are behind-the-scenes efforts that assist our teachers with support through mini grants, in school assemblies and curriculum-enhancing programming. 

Supporting our teachers and these awesome activities requires support. To minimize the need for additional fundraisers throughout the year, the PTO asks you to consider making a donation (suggested $55 per student), which will provide you access to the PTO’s Membership Toolkit. The Membership Toolkit is an online OSS Directory, making it easy to connect with families for parties, playdates, and more - it's also available as a handy app! You may register and have your family/student listed at no charge (great for being invited to playdates!), but must make a donation to access the directory and look up others' info. When becoming a member, we'd love it if you also took advantage of any employer gift-matching programs! Separately, if you would like to support the PTO and retain access to the directory, but feel that $55 per child is not feasible, please reach out to [email protected].
